We're gearing up to help bring home a little boy from Guatemala for a couple who have recently have gone through the loss of adopting their baby girl! Here is their story.....
As a couple trying to adopt for the first time, we were very excited that we were close to the end of our adoption journey to bring our daughter home. We suspected there might be something wrong with her weeks ago when we visited her and requested a neurological study, but never received one. Then just days ago we were called by our agency and notified that our daughter had a head trauma accident but the details as to how, and what her condition/prognosis were not revealed to us Only that she would be considered special needs/high risk and the agency recommended we pull the referral (stop the adoption). A few days later we were told her injury occurred due to falling off a bed. After we emailed her pediatrician in her Country he responded back informing us that she had head swelling, causing severe seizures and brain bleeds and he has no more information. We do not feel called to take on willingly a special needs child, as we already have three children, one with special needs. Following the recommendation of the agency, we are broken hearted over the decision we have had to make for her best interest; therefore, we have stopped the process. Please pray for her future and the medical care she receives now in the hospital. The agency has provided little to no help informing us of her complete medical condition, providing another child to move forward with, or refunding our money.
But, we are not giving up on our dream to bring a child home. God is moving and has blessed us with an agency that has a beautiful baby boy, Isaac, who is available NOW and is willing to work with us financially. We have lost much of our funds through the previous agency. Unless we receive your help, we will not be able to bring Isaac home.
Won’t you please consider donating? For just the cost of pizza and soft drinks for you and your family, you could donate and be part of a little boy’s future in bringing him home to his forever family. We thank you in advance for your support, and prayers.
